Chandini had threatened to end life after quarrel
Hyderabad: A day after the decomposed body of Chandini Jain was found in the Ameenpur hillocks, police arrested her 17-year-old ex-classmate and alleged lover on Wednesday.
“On Saturday evening, Chandini left her home on the pretext of meeting her friends and met the boy. They hired an autorickshaw and got down at Madhava-puri Hills in Ameenpur. While discussing their relationship, the argument heated up and she slapped him and also threatened that she will commit suicide. This provoked the boy and he punched her head after laying her down and throttled her to death. He then dragged her body to the cliff and fled the scene, throwing her cellphone in a pond,” said Cyberabad police commissioner Sandeep Shandilya.
Cyberabad police arrested the boy and charged him under relevant sections of the Juvenile Justice Act of 2000 and sent him for remand.
