Kerala Education Minister's convoy vehicle collides with ambulance, three injured

Kerala education minister Shivan Kutty's escort vehicle caused an accident at Kottarakkara in Kollam on Friday. The video of the accident went viral within few minutes after the entire incident was caught on surveillance cameras.

Three persons, including a patient, were injured after the escort vehicle collided with an ambulance.

Police registered a case against the drivers of both the ambulance and the escort vehicle.

The video shows the escort vehicle speeding towards a junction while an ambulance was also proceeding towards the junction and the escort vehicle collides with the ambulance making it turn turtle.

Following the accident, a blame game erupted between the police and the ambulance driver.

However, the police said that the video clearly showed the traffic police stopping the traffic to give way to the escort vehicle. While traffic on all sides was stopped, the ambulance was proceeding without giving any indication of its approach and this led to the accident, the police explained.
