Hyderabad: Man kills lover in a graveyard
Hyderabad: Suspecting her partner’s loyalty, a man killed his partner by hitting her with a boulder in a graveyard. He took her to the graveyard on the pretext of talking to her and drink liquor but killed her between two graves. RGI airport police arrested him on Thursday and he was remanded to judicial custody.
According to RGI airport police, Vallepu Srinu, 42, a ragpicker is a homeless man living at Shamshabad and a native of Velijarla village in Ranga Reddy district.
He was married to a woman and has three children, but due to differences with his wife, they have been living separately for the last 15 years. About six years ago, Srinu came in contact with Padmamma, 40, a labourer and also homeless. She was also separated from her husband and living alone. The couple was in a relationship since then.
For some days, he had been suspecting her loyalty towards him. She also stopped giving him money for expenses. A few days ago, Srinu noticed a man sleeping next to Padmamma on the footpath. A suspicious Srinu decided to kill her, said police.
“On Tuesday, Srinu took Padmamma into the bushes near a graveyard on the pretext of talking and sat between two graves. He drank alcohol and also gave her some. When she fell unconscious, he picked up a boulder and smashed her head with it. Srinu then escaped to his native village. During the probe, evidence was collected and he was nabbed at his native village on Thursday and remanded to judicial custody,” said RGIA police.
