Chennai: A 21-year-old employee of a private hospital in Perungudi was held after an allegation by a woman patient saying that the man harassed her after giving her sedative.
According to police, the complainant, a 30-year-old woman, working as an engineer in Bengaluru was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Perungudi.
Sources said she underwent knee surgery at the hospital. Police said quoting the woman, when she went to take an x-ray, the lab technician sedated her before taking her to the chamber. He then allegedly sexually harassed the woman.
The woman informed the doctors about the incident, but they did not respond. She later lodged a complaint with Thuraipakkam police. The police after an investigation arrested lab technician Dillibabu( 21) of Vellore and remanded him to judicial custody.
