Hyderabad: Three real estate agents and a lawyer were nabbed by the Meerpet police on Wednesday for claiming another person’s plot as their own and trying to sell it off.
K. Raja Reddy, Vinod Bhatti and Syed Ilyas Hussain who are real estate agents installed a board on the plot located in Hayathnagar belonging to Radha Devi. They were supported by Binny, a lawyer.
“Radha Devi, who resides elsewhere, comes once a month to check the place. On Monday, when she did a sudden check, she found the board which read that the land belonged to the three accused. She alerted the cops and produced documents to lay claim to the land. We have registered a case against the accused,” said A. Man Mohan, inspector of Meerpet police station.
K. Raja Reddy and Hussain were earlier caught by Meerpet police after they impersonated as land owners of a plot belonging to S.N. Reddy, the complainant.
A case has been registered against all the accused under various Sections of the IPC at Meerpet police station.
