Bengaluru: In yet another case of sexual harassment on social media platforms, Kannada actress Sangeetha Bhat was asked to share her nude pictures by a person on Instagram and Facebook. The actress approached the Cyber Crime police and has lodged a complaint in this regard.
The actress was in shock on Monday when she opened her Instagram account and saw a vulgar message sent by one Preethi D’Souza. In the message Sangeetha was asked to send “bikini and nude picture”, following which she approached the police.
“I have blocked this account and reported it to Instagram. I have received the same message with the same name on Facebook as well. I wonder how can a girl talk this way to another girl. I don't know if the profile is real or fake,” she wrote on her official Facebook page.
Police suspect that some miscreants have created a fake account in a girl's name and have sent the message. “We are investigating it,” he said.
Sangeetha is not only the victim of sexual harassment on social media platform. A few days ago, actress Sruthi Hariharan too landed in a similar situation wherein her morphed nude photos went viral on social media platforms following which she had complained to the Cyber police.
