Hyderabad: Tensed with the declining trends in the share market, a businessman from the city committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling at his home in Uppal on Monday.

According to the Uppal police, the couple B. Naga Pallavi, a techie and B. Basava Raju, 38, was living at Sharadanagar in Ramanthapur under the Uppal limits.

At around 10.30 am on Monday, Pallavi asked Raju to get breakfast from a hotel. But, Raju, who was already in a tensed mood after noticing the declining trends of share market, went inside a room and bolted it.

Pallavi rushed to her neighbours to help her break open the door only to see her husband hanging from the ceiling.

An ambulance was called immediately but the staff declared him dead. However, Pallavi took Raju to Matrix Hospital, where the doctors also confirmed him as brought dead.
