Bengaluru: Wife’s paramour hacks eatery owner to death

Bengaluru: A 37-year-old roadside eatery owner was hacked to death by his wife's paramour on Sunday night in Rajagopal Nagar police limits.

The deceased, Umesh, who ran an eatery on Hegganahalli Second Cross, was a resident of Srigandhanagar.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Umesh's wife and Kishore had an affair which Umesh discovered recently. Umesh warned both Kishore and his wife, but Kishore did not pay heed.

The duo fought over the issue frequently and on Sunday night, Kishore and his friends went to Umesh's eatery and picked up a fight. They assaulted Umesh with lethal weapons, killing him on the spot and fled.

Rajagopal Nagar police, who were informed about the incident, rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Victoria Hospital for postmortem.
