Hyderabad: Cattle trader waylaid, 26 bulls taken away by unknown persons
Hyderabad: A Medak-based cattle trader has approached Shamshabad Police claiming that unknown persons intercepted his truck carrying around 26 bulls and shifted the truck and bulls saying that they will be moved to a goshala.
The victim lodged a complaint with police. According to police, Md Sadaqath, a native of Kohir in Medak district has been a cattle trader for more than ten years.
He would buy bulls and oxen from markets nearby and sell them off at Suryapet, Kodada, Vijayawada and Vizag.
On Tuesday night around 8pm, he was going from Patancheru in his truck with 26 bulls towards Suryapet via Hyderabad. When he was passing through Gollapally village under the limits of Shamshabad mandal, an SUV intercepted him.
Seven persons in their late thirties approached the truck and asked him and others with him to get down from the truck. They told him that transporting bulls was not allowed in vehicles and said the animals will be shifted to a nearby goshala. He did not agree initially, but gave in when they forced him.
