Hyderabad: Fear of failure in examinations and depression owing to failure have caused as many as six Intermediate students to end their lives across the state. In Kukatpally, Katraj Saikumar (17), a first-year Intermediate MEC student at MNR College, found that he had failed in all subjects except languages. He hanged himself from the ceiling of his house after his parents left for work.

At Ushodaya Colony under Jagathgirigutta police station, M Srinitya (17) an MPC student at Sri Gayatri College in Chintal, jumped from the fourth floor of her apartment, supposedly depressed by her result.
