Hyderabad: Student who killed himself passes exam
HYDERABAD: An intermediate second-year student from Kachiguda who committed suicide a day before the results, dreading his score, has passed his exams. Parents are in a state of agony after they checked his result on Friday even as they were grieving about his death. Neerav Mashru, the 18-year-old second-year intermediate student of St. Francis Xavier Junior College, jumped to his death from the fifth floor of his apartment in Kachiguda, a day before his results.
“We were still in a state of shock when we learnt about him passing the exams. If only he had shared his anxiety or waited for a few more hours for the results,” said his relative Ravi Mashru. “On Thursday night, he had jumped from the fifth floor of the apartment. His family suspects he was depressed over his poor performance in the exams and was worried about the results, which were to be announced on Friday,” said the Sub Inspector of Kachiguda, Mr T. Madhu.
