Hyderabad: The city police would be moving the Supreme Court, challenging the acquittal of Dastagir who allegedly molested and later killed a 12-year-old girl from Bhavaninagar of Old City about three years ago.
The child from Tallabkatta went out to buy vegetables when the 22-year-old man allegedly took her into an under construction building and tried to molest her. When she resisted, he strangulated her and dumped the body.
DCP (south) V. Satyanarayana said “Now we are going to approach the Supreme Court and challenge the acquittal of Dastagir in the Huma murder case.”
