Hyderabad: The CCS has arrested one V. Shiva Krishna for cheating businessmen by promising to sell PoS (Point of Sale) machines and publishing advertisements on different websites.The complaint was lodged by M. Randeep Reddy. He saw the advertisement on the Internet and called the number. Shiva Krishna asked him to transfer Rs 6,500 via PayTM.
“Randeep transferred the money but did not get the PoS machine and lodged a complaint with us,” an inspector said.“After receiving the complaint we started searching for the culprit and found that he had committed similar offences elsewhere too. He was tracked using his cell phone and arrested. We have booked him under Sections 420, 406, 419 of IPC and Section 66(d) of the ITA Act on cyber crimes,” the inspector said.
