KANNUR: The crime squad of Kannur police constituted in connection with Shuhaib murder has been dispersed and all the members were transferred to various police stations. The order was in the wake of allegations against the members that most of them failed to cooperate in the investigation and also leaked out information of raids to CPM leaders.
Kannur SP G Sivavikram had complained to DGP and IG, Kannur range about the shameful behavior of the squad members. Though SP and team had conducted many raids, the accused escaped. Later DGP Loknath Behara also had confirmed the allegations.
