Car overturns, narrow escape for revellers
Hyderabad: Five persons returning home after attending a Holi event were injured when the driver of their car lost control and hit a boulder beside the airport road. The car overturned. Sources said that the passengers, residents of Secunderabad, were said to be drunk at the time of the accident. However no case has been booked.
Passersby who noticed the accident shifted them to a private hospital. Elsewhere, three member family going to ECIL from Keesara in an autorickshaw sustained injuries after an SUV rammed into their vehicle. The SUV driver drove away after the accident, police said. Pullamma, 60. and her daughter Saritha, 35, suffered fractures and Pullamma’s husband Ananta Rao sustained minor bruises. The driver of the autorickshaw escaped unhurt. Police registered a case and started a hunt for the hit-and-run driver.
