THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM Kannur district secretary P. Jayarajan who is in capital city to attend the two-day state committee meeting has denied his party's role in the gruesome murder of Congress worker Shuhaib in Mattanur on Monday night. Mr Jayarajan said here that the CPM local committee had issued a statement pointing out that the party had no role in the murder of Shuhaib.
However, the party will conduct an internal probe and action will be taken if workers' involvement is found in the incident. While condemning the murder, Mr Jayarajan criticized Ramesh Chennithala for terming the incident as a result of "red terror". Mr Chennithala is speaking the language of RSS, he added.
