Hyderabad: A 70-year-old trader who was crossing a road in Kothapet was killed in an accident on Thursday night. The mishap occurred when an engineering graduate hit G. Narsimha with his bike. The biker B. Bharath was on his way to watch the Khaidi #150 movie.
Narsimha, a trader from Old Hayathnagar, came to Kothapet on work and was crossing the road. B. Bharat, 21, belonging to to Dilsukhnagar, was going to LB Nagar on his bike. He was going to see Chiranjeevi starrer Khaidi #150.
Narsimha who was crossing the road passed the divider and suddenly stepped on to the side in which Bharat was driving.
“Bharat who was coming at high speed did not see Narsimha and hit him. Narsimha suffered serious injuries on the head and other body parts,” Chaitanyapuri SI K.S. Ratnam said.
Bharat stopped his bike and with the help of passersby shifted Narsimha to a private hospital, where he died.
Police registered a case for causing death by rash and negligent driving against Bharat and detained him.
