5 who helped immigrants illegally enter Hyderabad, arrested
Hyderabad: The RGIA police of Cyberabad booked a case against five persons including a customer services officer posted at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport for reportedly forging visa documents for facilitating illegal immigration.
The vigilance team at the RGI Airport which had a suspicion that some persons were giving forged visas to people who wanted to leave the country, they started monitoring one of the customer services officers — Mohammed Zeeshan.
The team which was following Zeeshan regularly, noticed him talking to one Mohd Ibrahim on the phone. He was immediately nabbed and the call was put on speaker and recorded. The duo were discussing printing boarding passes for the immigrants and Ibrahim was asking Zeeshan to cross-check with the software about the entry of the names.
It was also found that Ibrahim had illegally entered the Interim International Departure Terminal and was using forged travel documents. He also accessed the Indigo’s check-in system at one of the counters of the departure terminal illegally.
An official from Indigo airlines has lodged a complaint with the RGIA police stating that Zeeshan, Ibrahim and three others — Khalid Ali Khan, Mohd Zaheeduddin and Zubair, were indulging in facilitating illegal immigration by forging the visa documentation and accepting a bribe.
Based on the complaint, the RGIA police registered a case under Section 406, 420, 468 and 471 of IPC for the probe. RGIA S-I S. Venkateshwarlu said, “The accused, work for the airlines and forge visas to help illegal migrants.”
