Bengaluru: The Rajagopalnagar police arrested six people on Tuesday in connection with the murder of former JD(S) Corporator, Govindegowda on Saturday. The accused have been identified as Velu, 23, Rahul, 19, and Sandeep, 25, all residents of Hegganahalli; Lakshman, 25, Devaraj, 29 and Abhishek alias Kalla Abhi, 25, all residents of Magadi taluk, Ramnagar.
According to the police, Govindegowda had been attacked by ten unidentified men at a Kalyana Mantapa near Hegganahalli on December 9. Among the arrested, five of them were detained on Sunday and Abhishek was being helped by the others to escape from the police. The Rajagopalnagar police have registered a case and are on the lookout for others.
