Hyderabad: A 20-year-old woman killed a man who she suspected had illicit relations with her mother. Police said the woman, Srija, and her three friends attacked Durga-prasad Bhasker with sticks and killed him a week ago at RC Puram. Police arrested three persons in the case, but Srija remains at large.
According to the police, Bhasker, 45, a businessman living in the vicinity of BHEL office, made friends with a woman, after which they started meeting frequently. This led to an illicit relationship between them.
The woman’s daughter, Srija, came to know about her mother’s relation with Bhasker. Infuriated, she decided to kill him. She contacted her friend Stephen Anthony to help her get rid of Bhasker. Stephen brought in two of his friends, Anthony Rebel and Sredeep Sunder, to execute the act.
As per plan, they followed Bhasker in an SUV while he was on his way back home from work. Stephen and his friends then stopped Bhasker and attacked him with sticks, while Srija waited in the vehicle. After he fell unconscious, they sped away.
A passersby noticed Bhasker lying on the road and shifted him to a hospital, where he succumbed at late night.
The police collected details about the vehicle the accused travelled in, and zoomed in on Stephen and his friends. They confessed to the crime during questioning. Meanwhile, teams have been sent out to track down Srija.
