Married woman murdered by Facebook friend
Amroha (Uttar Pradesh): A married woman, who eloped with her paramour after getting acquainted with him on Facebook, was brutally murdered by the youth in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh.
The victim was identified as Usma Begum, 32, belonging to Nizamabad in Telangana. Police found the woman’s body on the premises of Checkmate Security Company in Gajaroula police station limits three days ago.
Speaking to mediapersons, Amroha SP Aditya said that upon inquiry, they found that one Shehzad has the keys of the company. Police took him into custody and he revealed the entire Facebook love story.
On November 6, Usma Begum left her house and reached Gajaroula following the directions of Shehzad. On meeting him, she mounted pressure on him to marry her. Angered over her proposal, the youth tied her to a post with the help of her dupatta and banged her with a brick on her head. Then he dumped the body in a corner on the premises of the company and left the place.
Meanwhile, her husband Mukheed, lodged a missing complaint with the Banswada police. The cops began searching for her when they got information from the UP police that Usma Begum was murdered.
Twelve years ago, she was married to Mukheed and they have two children. Owing to some differences between the husband and wife, Usma Begum lived in Nizamabad with her parents for two months. After the elders of their families sorted out the issue, she returned to Banswada on November 4 and went missing two days later. Her parents reached Uttar Pradesh to bring back the body to their native place.
