Hyderabad: A 55-year-old attender at the Sub Registrar’s office in Marredpally division, Secunderabad committed suicide by hanging on Sunday evening under Bowenpally police station limits.
The deceased has been identified as Surendra nair, 55, attender at Sub Registrar office Marredpally division, Secunderabad. According to the Bowenpally police the deceased along with two other were suspended by the district regter officer on charges of manipulating records.
Bowenpally inspector V. Anand Kishore, said, “He was afraid he would get suspended. So he came here on Sunday evening at around 5 pm and committed suicide.”
The Bowenpally police have registered a case under suspicious death and further investigation is underway. Meanwhile, the body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem.
