Hyderabad: Nigerian, Pakistan links in businessman's murder
Hyderabad: The mortal remains of businessman Vasudev Rajpurohit, 32, were brought to the city in the wee hours of Sunday and the final rites were performed by the family members. Hundreds of residents paid their last respects to Vasudev. The probe into Vasudev’s murder has revealed the role of a Nigerian national, whom Vasudev met through a Pakistani national with whom he had financial dealings. The victim’s family came to know about his death three days ago.
“It is still unbelievable that he has left us. He was just getting stable in the business. But fortunes had something worst for him in store,” said a relative. His wife and two children are yet to come to terms with his untimely death. Hundreds of people from different localities of Kushaiguda also poured in to pay their last respects to Vasudev. His close relatives suspect that he was trapped by his killers during his visit to Malaysia.
During one of the visits, the Pakistan national, who is a cabbie-cum-guide, introduced Vasudev to the thermocol business. The Pakistan national also introduced Vas-udev to his other friends. Financial transactions also took place between them which Vasudev did not disclose to his family. The Rachakonda police is co-ordinating with their in Malaysian counterparts as part of the probe.
