Abuse case on Post Graduate law college head

Assistant Professor complains to Abids cops.

Hyderabad: Abids police booked a case against principal of the Post Graduate College of Law (Osmania University), Basheerbagh, for allegedly harassing a woman assistant professor. The victim had lodged a complaint with alleging that Dr G. Vinod Kumar had been insulting her and abusing her with caste names, and compelling her to involve in academic malpractices. He had threatened her multiple times, she alleged in her complaint.

According to the victim, the principal developed a grudge against her after she reported some malpractices in the college. “Dr Vinod Kumar compelled me to give full attendance to students even if they did not attend class, which I was not ready to do. In order to take revenge, he is marking me absent and denying me allowance,” she alleged.

“Once I noticed the college guards were drunk at the gate and creating nuisance for women students and teachers. When I reported this issue to him, he ignored it and allowed the guards to continue their job in an inebriated condition,” she alleged. He used his associates and a student to harass her, she said. She said she had submitted her resignation but it was not accepted. Police said they had booked a case.
