KAMAREDDY: Dispute over a love marriage led to murder of three persons, including two girls, at Jangampally of Bhiknoor mandal in Kamareddy district. The bodies Bandela Balaiah, 46, Latha, 15, and Chandana, 5, were found with their throats slit on the outskirts of Domakonda on Saturday.
According to police, the victims had gone along with one Bandela Ravi to the Mallanna temple at Domakonda on Friday evening. It is believed Ravi might have them soft drinks mixed with poison and killed them when they fell unconscious.
Balaiah's son Bandela Ajay Kumar escaped death as the Class VIII student did not accompany his family along with Ravi. Police found an empty soft drink and poison bottles near the bodies. The motorbike of Ravi, who is missing, was found parked at a nearby water tank. Whether Ravi escaped or has committed suicide is not yet known.
Kamareddy SP N. Swetha, DSP Laxminar-ayana, and Domakonda circle inspector Rajasekhar visited the spot. A CLUES team and a dog squad have been pressed into service. The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to government area hospital in Kamareddy for post-mortem. Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Mr Laxminarayana said Balaiah’s elder daughter Deepa had entered into a love marriage with one Narsimloo of Jangampally last month.
