Cyber cafe owner held for abusive post against Jayakumar

He was produced before the metropolitan magistrate in Allikulam and was remanded to judicial custody.

Chennai: Cyber crime wing of the Central Crime Branch, city police on Wednesday arrested a 33-year-old man from Nagapattinam for allegedly posting a series of abusive and vulgar messages against state fisheries minister D. Jayakumar in Facebook.

G. Satheesh Kumar of Thiruvalli village was arrested by a special team on Thursday. Police sources said that he had also posted messages against the Chief Minister. Kumar runs a cyber café in Sirkazhi town in Nagapattinam district. The arrested man comes from a family of AIADMK loyalists with his father, Ganesan being a supporter of the Edappadi faction. It is not clear as to what messages he post on Facebook.
