HYDERABAD: The juvenile found guilty of sexual assault on a minor girl on Monday was convicted and sentenced to for three years. After the V additional metropolitan magistrate, Nampally POCSO court sentenced him he was placed in a Special Home for Boys.

The accused according to Chandryangutta police on September 20, had sexually assaulted his neighbour.

Based on the minor victim’s relative’s complaint at Chandrayangutta the then Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Falaknuma division M A Bari, had investigated the case and ensured fast submission of charge sheet and speedy trial and Chandu, additional public prosecutor appeared for prosecution.

Police booked cases against the accused in crime no. 379/2016, under section 376(2)(i)(n) IPC (rape of a minor).
