Hyderabad: Man killed 2 days after marriage

Amar was killed by Laxman at an isolated place in Seetharam Bagh while he was on his way to his house.

Hyderabad: A 21-year-old youth from Karnataka was killed by his brother-in-law two days after marriage. The incident occurred just a km away from Mangalhat police station in the city early on Tuesday.

The deceased who hailed from Karnataka had come to Hyderabad for work and was working at a hotel, and was living in a rented house in Indranagar.

He fell in love with a girl from the locality and the duo went to Bengaluru to tie the knot. After learning about the news of his sister's marriage, the girl's brother Laxman contacted the girl and requested her and Amar to come back home and promised to convince her parents to accept the marriage. Amar and his wife returned to Hyderabad and went to the girl’s home on Monday. Amar was killed by Laxman at an isolated place in Seetharam Bagh while he was on his way to his house.

Mangalhat inspector A Sanjeeva Rao said, “Laxman hit Amar with a stone on the head. The victim died instantly and the accused fled. The duo hailed from the same community. The incident happened at around 5 am on Tuesday. A case of murder was booked.”
