Hyderabad: A MCA student was arrested by the city cybercrime sleuths for uploading child pornography videos.
The accused, a resident of Amberpet, had been uploading and sharing child
pornography videos to multiple persons by collecting from different websites.
According to reliable sources a foreign-based investigation agency last week reportedly got the details about the accused and provided the info to the local police.
Based on a complaint, cybercrime police took over the case and arrested the
accused.
Chided by parents for her mobile obsession, 17-year-old dies by suicide
After being scolded by her parents for being on the mobile at all times,
17-year-old Safia Jahan died by suicide at her house in Janakpuri Colony,
Balapur.
Safia’s father Mohammed Zaki grew suspicious when she did not respond and
broke the door and saw her dead. On being informed Meerpet police rushed to
the scene and registered a case of suspicious death under section 174 CRPC.
The victim’s body has been shifted to Osmania general hospital mortuary for
post-mortem.
Six-year-old girl succumbs to burns
A six-year-old girl, B Saranya, succumbed to burns while undergoing
treatment in Gandhi Hospital Wednesday morning. Saranya was among seven
members of a family who suffered burns from a fire caused by a LPG gas leak
at their house in Valmiki Nagar on Tuesday. The family was getting ready to
offer bonam.
Saranya’s grandmother A. Padmavati, mother Dhanalakshmi, uncle Anand and
brothers Vihaan and Abhinav are stated to be in a critical condition in the burns ward at Gandhi Hospital.
Vihaan was shifted to a private hospital in Alwal as his condition had turned critical, police said.
Saranya’s body has been shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
Her father Sham Srinivas performed the final rites.
Sanitary inspector caught taking bribe
Telangana ACB sleuths on Wednesday caught sanitary inspector, Peerzadiguda
Municipal Corporation in Medchal-Malkajgiri district, K Janaki, and an office subordinate R, Saroja while accepting bribe from a contractor in return for official favours.
N. Sriramulu, a municipal contractor from Medipally, had supplied footwear worn by sanitation workers of the corporation. Janaki demanded a bribe to clear the bills for the same.
On her instructions Saroja was receiving the amount, when ACB sleuths, working on a tipoff caught her red-handed On her confession, Janaki was also detained.
