Hyderabad: In a bizarre incident in the city, an intermediate student from Kushaiguda tried to make sexual advances towards an 80-year-old woman when she was alone at her home. The police booked a case against the 17-year-old boy and are searching for him.
According to the police, the victim (80) along with her daughter lives in a penthouse at Housing Board in Kailasagiri area, while two sons live on the ground floor along with their families in separate portions.
On Thursday noon, when the octogenarian was alone at her home and doing some work, the boy, who is a neighbour and known to the family, walked into the penthouse.
He started talking to her and a little later, he moved closer to the woman and misbehaved with her by making sexual advances and holding her hands.
Even after she warned him, the boy did not stop and tried to harass the old woman. In panic, the woman raised an alarm and the boy fled from the scene.
Kushaiguda inspector K. Chandra Shekar said, “The boy misbehaved with the elderly woman when she was alone at home. As she raised alarm, he ran away. A case has been booked under sections 354 and 452 of IPC and we are searching for the boy.”
