Kochi: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing conspiracy behind the abduction and sexual assault of a female actor is likely to book Dileep’s film-maker friend Nadirsha and personal manager Appunni aka Sunil Raj for their role in the destruction of evidence.
According to sources, the cops would interrogate them along with the actor’s brother Anoop in the coming days.
“We’re probing the role of Anoop in the crime. However, we’ve no evidence to link the trio to the conspiracy,” they said.
Vishnu had handed over the letter written at the behest of Pulsar Suni, the main accused, addressing the actor to Anoop.
In its remand report, the SIT also stated that Vishnu, a fellow prisoner of Suni, had collected the phone number of Appunni from Anoop and met the former at Eloor on April 14.
Though the police had earlier interrogated the trio, they will again be questioned based on new leads.
They will also record the statement of Anwar Sadath MLA, regarded as a close friend of Dileep, to bring clarity on his reported phone calls to him on the days that followed the crime on February 17.
Sources also said the SIT would collect statement of actor Mukesh MLA.
Suni had worked as his driver in 2013 when the “conspiracy” was first hatched, and the cops are expected to quiz
whether Suni knew Dileep at that time and how the duo came to know each other.
