Two educators child rapists are still on the run
Hyderabad: Two child sex abuse cases, one involving the husband of a government hostel principal at Gachibowli and the other involving a government school headmaster at Shamshabad, are pending investigation as the suspects in both cases are absconding.
Teams deputed to nab the suspects have been combing different locations based on clues but in vain.
In the Gachibowli case, registered more than 10 days ago, the suspect Damodar, the principal of TS Social Welfare Residential Girl’s School, Gowlidoddi village, had unsuccessfully sought anticipatory bail.
At Shamshabad, an audio clip of a woman, reportedly an attender working in the school, was found, in which she was heard requesting the victim to come back to the suspect Akber Ali and stay with him.
Damodar is accused of sexually abusing a Class IX student at his wife’s official quarters in the hostel premises. After a case was registered, Pramodini was suspended and Damodar went absconding. Both vacated their city residence and left the city.
As they belong to Nellore district in AP, teams were sent to Nellore, only to find that the couple had given them the slip just before teams arrived at the spot.
With both their mobile phones switched off and relatives clueless about their whereabouts, cops are finding it tough to nab the suspect. Earlier reports claimed that since Damodar worked for a famous educational institution owned by an AP based political bigwig, he was influencing the investigation, due to which his arrest was getting delayed.
Meanwhile, cops investigating the kidnap, marriage and sexual assault of a teenager by a government school principal, found that an attender, Chandramma, working in the same school, knew about the issue for a very long time and helped the headmaster Akber in trapping the girl.
After the girl returned home a couple of days ago, Chandramma called the girl on her mother’s mobile and had a conference call with Akber, during which she is heard requesting the girl to come back, while Akber was heard abusing the girl in vulgar language. Searches at Akber’s house at Shadnagar turned out to be futile.
Though it is suspected that Chandramma had been helping Akber trap students and he had, in the past, sexually harassed many students, cops said that no one had approached them with a complaint. “As a minor is involved and so many students are in the school, the issue can create a panic, due to which it is being investigated carefully.” an official said.
