Hyderabad: Minors continue to fall prey to the pervert sexual attitude of their neighbors in the city. In yet another incident of child sex abuse, a 20 year old tuition teacher had attempted to rape a 12 year old girl at his resident on Friday in Meerpet. The accused identified as Gopi forced himself on the girl, when she came to his home to drink water. The girl’s father went missing after her mother died a couple of years ago.
According to police, the girl stays at a residential school at Saroornagar. Being summer vacation, she had come to her aunt’s home in HUDA colony at Balapur crossroads.
On Friday after her aunt went out on some work, the girl was alone at home. As she was alone, she went to the neighbor’s residence to drink water.
Gopi was also alone at the home when she came to his home. Taking advantage of her loneliness, he tried to rape her.
Shocked when the girl raised alarm, he left the girl. She came running home, her aunt who had returned home and found from the girl about the incident.
She lodged a complaint against Gopi and a case under IPC and PoCSO Act were booked against him.
Meerpet inspector A Manmohan said that the girl was sent for medical examination and a hunt is on to nab the accused.
Gopi runs a tuition centre at his house and his parents away when the incident happened. There are usually many students, but the house was empty because of the holidays.
