Gutka packets worth Rs 40,000 seized in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Neredmet police arrested a 35-year-old man on Saturday in possession of gutka worth Rs 40,000. The accused was identified as M. Sai Kumar. He was caught transferring gutka to different pan shops from his residence in Vinobhanagar at Neredmet.
"He bought gutka stocks from Karnataka and supplied them to different pan shops. We found gutka packets at his residence too," said Neredmet police station inspector Jagadish Chander.
"Upon questioning, he confessed to selling the banned gutka of different brands to customers," he added.
Police registered a case against him under sections of the IPC and the COPT Act.
