The complainant, a farmer from Suryapet district, had come to Hyderabad for his wife's treatment.
The duo suffered head injuries and has been in ICU for a few days.
Hyderabad: The auto-rickshaw driver who fled with the bag of a distracted a passenger was arrested by the LB Nagar Police on Thursday. The bag contained gold jewellery and cash. The police tracked him down through CCTV footage from the spot and surrounding areas. They recovered property worth Rs 3.2 lakh from his possession.
The complainant, a farmer from Suryapet district, had come to Hyderabad for his wife’s treatment. He was travelling by cab, and he alighted at LB Nagar Ring Road. The driver of the cab took his luggage out of the boot of the car and kept it on the side of the road. K. Jangaiah, an auto-rickshaw driver, approached the cab. Seeing that the passenger was busy paying the cab driver, he picked up his bag and fled.
