Bengaluru: Man killed in broad daylight by friends

According to the police, Koteshwara was involved in running prostitution business

BENGALURU: A dispute over prostitution business among friends led to the murder of one of them in Kamakshipalya police station limits. The incident took place at 8:30 am when a gang of six to seven attacked the victim with lethal weapons and fled. The deceased has been identified as Koteshwara Rao, 21, a resident of Kengeri. His friends, Chandra, Krishna and Antony are currently being treated in Victoria hospital.

According to the police, Koteshwara was involved in running prostitution business. Recently they had shifted the women from one area to another and Koteshwara and Suresh had fought over the financial discrepancies.

On Thursday morning Koteshwara had received a call from Suresh, who asked him to meet him near Sunkadakatte Bridge. Suresh along with Vinay, Kumar and others came to the spot in an auto and attacked Koteshwara and his friends with lethal weapons and escaped. The Kamakshipalya police have registered a case and are examining CCTV footage to nab the culprits.
