Hyderabad: Businessman Ajay Narahari from Ramnagar, who runs a security solutions firm, got a call from a person who identified himself as the board member of a school in Rajasthan. The caller wanted 850 CCTV cameras to be installed in the school, and he invited to Mr Narahari to do a site survey of the school.Mr Narahari had no reason to disbelieve the caller and took a flight to Delhi, from where he took a bus to Alwar in Rajasthan on March 14.“One person picked me up on a bike and took me to a remote place, where people armed with guns were waiting for me. I had Rs 30,000 in cash. They beat me up and took the cash and my debit card from me. I was helpless because I did not know which place I was in,” Mr Narahari recalls.
