Bengaluru: Tanveer Sait case - Cops to seek legal help
Bengaluru: Following a complaint lodged by one Shanthakumar at Vidhana Soudha police station against Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait, accusing him of atrocity, the police are seeking legal advice before registering an FIR.Shanthakumar and four others were arrested and released on bail after Mr Sait’s personal secretary filed a complaint that they had misbehaved with the minister in Vidhana Soudha.
The incident occurred when Shanthakumar from Mysuru and four others met the minister at his office on Tuesday. They demanded that for the eligibility to apply for PU lecturers' post, the percentage of PG marks scored should be reduced to 50, from the current 55%.The minister, however, told them that the SC/ST candidates do not have reservation in the recruitment process.
