Hyderabad: A young boy and a girl committed suicide by hanging from a tree in Vikarabad on Sunday night. The duo, identified as Praveen, 20, and Manjula, 18, were residents of Daulatabad mandal of Vikarabad, said pololice.
They were allegedly in love and their parents were against the relationship. “When the elders of their family opposed their decision, they committed suicide by hanging by a tree’s branch in Daulatabad on Sunday night. We rushed to the place, shifted the bodies to hospital for post mortem,” police said.
Vikarabad police have registered a case under relevant sections and started a probe.
