Hyderabad: The Meerpet police arrested a man who allegedly raped a woman several times by blackmailing her. The accused Pandula Pawan Kumar, 27, of Old Malakpet, is a DJ by profession. LB Nagar DCP M. Venkateshwar Rao said, "The accused used to send messages like 'Hi, Good morning, and good afternoon' to the victim on phone.
When the victim asked him about him, he would say that he texted her by mistake. He would then send the same messages again. This is how the two started talking to each other."
Six months ago, the accused went to the victim's house and sexually assaulted her. On February 28, the accused again forcibly got into the woman's house, raped her and took Rs 55,000 and a gold top. He blackmailed her that he would reveal all to her husband if she did not keep quiet, the DCP said. The police seized one pair of gold ear rings weighing 5 gm from the accused.
