Hyderabad: Woman, son kill alcoholic husband
Hyderabad: A 35-year-old woman and her son strangled her alcoholic husband and hung him up to make it look like a suicide. Medipally police arrested Amrutha while her son is absconding.
The victim, Srinivas, was a resident of Budhanagar in Peerzadiguda. He was a daily wage labourer and was living with his wife Amrutha, who was a sweeper at a private bank in Peerzadiguda, and son Venkatesh, a labourer. Srinivas was addicted to alcohol and constantly troubled his wife.
He suspected her of having an extramarital affair. Unable to stomach the torture, Amrutha decided to kill her husband, and took her son's help. On December 31, 2016 while Srinivas was fast asleep, they strangled him. Later, Amrutha and her son hanged him to the ceiling to make it look like a suicide.
Police registered a suspicious death case initially. The autopsy report said that Srinivas was strangled to death. Police suspected Amrutha and apprehended her. She initially rejected the charges but later admitted that she and her son killed her husband unable to bear his torture.
