Hyderabad: Around 248 drunken drivers were booked on a single day in special drives conducted by Hyderabad traffic police on Sunday on the occasion of Holi. The traffic police had deployed special teams in 60 places in the city during the day time to control road accidents and to nab drunk drivers.
The special drives were conducted from 8 am to 2 pm on Sunday.
Traffic DCP A.V. Ranganath said, “As more accidents are observed on Holi, we conducted special drives during the day on Sunday and nabbed 248 drunk drivers. 685 were booked for triple-riding, 433 for wrong side driving, 106 for driving without licence, and 122 for dangerous driving.
