Brawl: Man stabs cousin to death in Bengaluru
Bengaluru: A 30-year-old man was stabbed to death by his cousin in a drunken brawl in Bagaluru police station limits on Saturday night.
The deceased, Vinod, was an employee of a private firm. The police have arrested his cousin, Hemaraj, 28, in this connection. They hailed from Nepal and were staying in a rented house in Kannur in Bagaluru, and working in the same factory.
According to the police, the cousins had arranged a party for three of their friends on Saturday night. Vinod had consumed excessive amount of alcohol and was creating nuisance. Thus, Hemaraj asked him to shut up as it would disturb the house owner.
Vinod got angry and assaulted Hemaraj, who in turn took a knife from the kitchen and stabbed him. Though the friends rushed him to a nearby hospital, he succumbed after a few minutes.
The Bagaluru police, who took up a murder case, have arrested Hemaraj and are further investigating.
