Hyderabad: A woman died and her husband and son were severely injured on Friday when their bike was hit by a speeding car as they were coming from the airport.
Police said that the deceased, Farheen’s brother Mr Abrar Hasmi was travelling to the USA for employment.
Farheen (26), her husband Mr Meerajuddin (32), and son Buramuddin (3), had gone to the airport to see him off. The accident took place when they were on their way back home to the Banjara Hills area.
"When they reached Kishanguda area, a speeding Scorpio car hit their bike from behind and all three of them fell down," said Airport police station inspector P. Sudhakar.
Soldier dies of mishap injuries
A 24-year-old soldier from Guntur who met with a bike accident nearly two weeks ago, succumbed while undergoing treatment on Friday at Gandhi Hospital here. N. Amrutha Maniram, posted in Uttarakhand.
The mishap occurred in Guntur, while he was returning home on his bike. Police said he tried to avoid two schoolchildren who were crossing the road, fell down and sustained grievious injuries.
