Hyderabad: The Balapur police arrested eight persons in connection with the murder of rowdysheeter Mubarak bin Abdulla on Friday. The accused hatched a plan to kill Abdulla as he was allegedly harassing them by snatching away their mobile phones and forcing some of them to have unnatural sex with him.
Maheshwaram DCP Sunitha Reddy said that police had seized a baseball bat and two knives used to kill Abdulla and sent the accused to judicial remand.
Inquiries also revealed that Abdulla was earlier involved in more than 20 offences.
Police said that on January 7, Abdulla forcibly took the mobile phones of Shaik Ameer and Syed Khaja. They informed their friend Shaik Ismail, another accused. He spoke with Abdulla and got the mobiles back.
After his incident, Abdulla continued harassing the accused by taking their mobile phones, bikes and even cash from them forcefully. He was also forcing them to have intercourse with him. Fed up with his harassment, the accused persons killed him, police said.
