Vijayawada: The second ADJ court in Visakhapatnam sentenced Gandrikota Sattibabu, 37, to life imprisonment for killing his father, Gandrakota Appanna, 70. Judge M. Venkataramana also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000.
Police reports indicate that Sattibabu, struggling with alcohol addiction, frequently demanded money from his father. On February 10, 2023, he returned home intoxicated and requested more money for alcohol. When Appanna refused, Sattibabu fatally struck him on the head with a stick.
