Naveen Reddy\'s car found in an isolated place in Shamshabad

Hyderabad: Adibatla police spotted the car of Naveen Reddy, prime accused in the kidnap of Dr Vaishali Reddy, in an isolated place in a rural area near Shamshabad are on Monday. Police who recovered the high-end car from an isolated real estate venture and found that he had stayed in a room in a hotel the OYO room in Shamshabad.

Police found it difficult to open the car due to its digital lock. The vehicle has been towed to the Adibatla police station. Police found the was registered on Naveen Reddy's name and said he might have parked the vehicle on December 9, after the kidnap, and fled.

A police officer said investigating officers were trying to track the car using CCTV footage from the Shamshabad main road.

Naveen Reddy, the founder of the Mr. Tea franchise, along with dozens of his associates armed with sticks, stones and iron rods, had barged into Dr Vaidehi Reddy’s house, assaulted her father and other relatives, damaged the vehicles and household furniture and abducted after he came to know that her engagement had been scheduled.

Police has arrested 32 people who assisted Naveen Reddy and remanded them to 14-day judicial custody.
