Hyderabad: A woman from Chittoor was allegedly cheated by three persons who promised to provide her a visa to work in Dubai. She was instead handed a tourist visa.
According to the police, M. Jyothi, 35, from Reddivaripalli of Chittoor district, approached three persons – Shaik Abdul Khadar Basha, Chinnappa Naidu and one Ramana — seeking assistance to get a job as a domestic help aboard.
The trio took some money from Ms Jyothi and promised her to provide with a work visa for Dubai.
The trio, however, handed her a tourist visa. The victim on Monday lodged a complaint following which a case has been registered and being investigated, said the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) police.
