Andhra Pradesh: Police nabs notorious offender

The police recovered 6 gms of gold ornaments, 120 gms of silver ornaments and Rs 31,000 cash and few electronic goods.

Visakhapatnam: The city police on Saturday nabbed a notorious offender, who had involved in several property offences under MVP Colony police station limits in the city. The police recovered 6 gms of gold ornaments, 120 gms of silver ornaments and Rs 31,000 cash and few electronic goods. The arrested person has been identified as Sahivada Jyothish, 27, of Arilova. ACP (Crimes) A. Govinda Raju said the accused was arrested several times for his involvements in property offences and he was sent to juvenile home too. After getting married in 2010, he used to drive autorickshaw, he was arrested in a family case after a clash with his wife in 2016.

After release from a prison, he went back his old days to meet the financial issues. Jyothish had involved in around 10 property offences including burglaries and robberies. Explaining the modus operandi, ACP said that the accused has targeted small-scale business establishments like general stores, pan shops and few others and he attacks the owners of the shops and loot the valuables from the stores. Acting on a tip-off, the cops arrested the accused and recovered few booty from him.
