Chennai: TV actor Sabarna Anand found dead in her flat
Chennai: Sabarna Anand, A 29-year-old television actor, was found dead on Friday evening in the bedroom of her Maduravoyal residence, with her wrist slashed. The door was not locked and her body was in a highly decomposed state sans any clothes raising suspicion. The actor was being featured in a couple of serials including Sondha Bandham and Pasamalar and had acted in movies including Vishal starrer Poojai. She was a VJ and hosted several shows including Puthu Kavithai.
As her neighbours experienced a foul stench emanating from her flat, they alerted the cops who then entered the house to find her dead in a pool of dried up blood. From the looks of the body, cops believe she might have died at least three days ago while her neighbours corroborated that they last saw her on Tuesday.
The body was moved to the Kilpauk Medical College Hospital (KMCH) for a post-mortem. The deceased, who was a native of Coimbatore had moved into the City with her parents Anand Kumar and Pushpa, who were living in a different house. She is survived by her parents and brother Aneesh.
Sabarna had moved out to the present house a year ago. According to her friends, she was upset and remained aloof since last week. Sabarna went by the name Suguna in the Telugu television industry. No suicide note was found. It is still unclear whether she killed herself or was murdered. However, there was no forced entry to the house which gives credence to the suicide theory.
